FiveM jobs: which job scripts your city actually needs
A job is not a blip and a ped. It is a gameplay loop people repeat. Buy few, well paid, on your server’s framework.
People searching “FiveM jobs” want two things: something to do at 7pm, and an economy that does not print money. A serious job script ties inventory, payouts, faction and cooldown. A 40-job pack for $8 does not: it dumps NPCs and a harvest event.
Day-1 jobs (the rest can wait)
- Police: duty, radio, an MDT or at least a tablet — not just a loadout.
- EMS: revive, billing and a hospital. Without this, RP dies in the first shooting.
- Mechanic: repair, custom and invoice. It is the civilian job people actually use.
- One legal grind (mining, fishing, trucking) with a payout cap.
- One short illegal loop (selling, smuggling) with real risk, not an infinite ATM.

The job must match the framework
ESX stores jobs and grades in SQL; QBCore and QBox use different shared jobs and player data. A “universal job” is almost always a brittle wrapper. Filter the catalogue by ESX, QBCore or QBox and read the dependencies: ox_inventory, qb-inventory, ox_target, qtarget, society, banking.

Economy: pay the loop, not the dump
- Set the average civilian wage for a 2-hour session.
- Police and EMS should not earn 10× just for being on duty.
- Illegal pays more and costs more (cooldown, risk, staff).
- If a job prints 500k/hour it is not a script, it is a hole. Change it or do not install it.
When to buy and when to commission the job
Buy from the catalogue if the loop is generic (mining, mechanic, trucking). Commission custom if your city has odd rules: customs, capped factions, crafts that only exist in your lore. One well-built job is cheaper than three patched leaks nobody maintains.
